The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

Director: Paul Greengrass

Cast: Matt Damon, Joan Allen, David Strathairn, Julia Stiles

Synopsis: Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is still on the run but now from CIA Deputy Director Noah Vosen (David Strathairn) that is obsessed with having Bourne silenced. When he thinks he has a lead with a reporter that knows about a project called Blackbriar, which is an expansion of Treadstone, however, Vosen has him eliminated before he can tell Bourne everything. Now on the run with the help of Pamela Landy (Joan Allen) and Nikki Parsons (Julia Stiles), Bourne will have to outrun and out maneuver Vosen and the group of assassins sent to kill him. Bourne will finally discover the secrets of his past and find out who his real name.

Trivia: As in the previous films, the type of martial arts used by Jason Bourne is a combination of Filpino Kali with Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do. The character of Desh uses the same combination, as well as some moves from the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira. The scene where Bourne calls Pam Landy while looking at her from a nearby building was re-shot for the movie. The footage from The Bourne Supremacy’s ending was not used.

Why I think you should see this: This film in my opinion is the best of the Bourne series and successfully ties up the story started in the first film. Matt Damon is incredible yet again and after three films it is evident that he is Jason Bourne. The action is non-stop yet again and supporting cast is great yet again. I absolutely love this series and recommend it to everyone.
